Who we are
Founded in 2006 in Troisdorf, near Cologne, Medipa Handels GmbH is the European logistics and sales hub of the Merinos Group. With our modern infrastructure and strategically located facilities, we play a central role in the Group’s European operations.
Together with our customers, we develop rug collections tailored to the diverse styles, requirements, and price segments of European markets. From our headquarters in Troisdorf, we supply more than 3,000 locations across 15 European countries, working with leading retailers and wholesalers as well as international retail chains.
Strong Logistics Capacity
Our site in Troisdorf covers a total area of approximately 50,000 m², including around 21,000 m² of warehouse space across seven warehouse sections. With a further investment of approximately 70,000 m², scheduled to become operational in 2027, we are creating additional capacity to support our continued growth across Europe.

MEDIPA ECO CAMPUS
On July 8, 2025, the Merinos Group, one of Turkey’s leading carpet manufacturers, officially launched its sustainable and technology-oriented expansion in Germany with a symbolic contract signing.
In addition to its existing operations in Troisdorf, the new Medipa Eco Campus is being developed in Alfter, North Rhine-Westphalia, on a 75,000 m² site. The total investment amounts to €50 million.
A Sustainable and Employee-Oriented Green Campus
The new campus is aiming for the renowned DGNB Gold and QNG Plus certifications, a standard achieved by only around 10% of logistics properties in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Medipa Eco Campus will include a 40,000 m² fully automated logistics warehouse and 5,000 m² of office, showroom, and R&D space.
The project also includes a two-storey parking facility with 100 parking spaces and truck waiting areas, a 2 MW photovoltaic system with battery storage, extensive green roofs and façades, a regenerative heating system, and more than 5,000 m² of landscaped green space.
Fully automated fire protection technology, ergonomically designed workplaces, as well as recreation and sports areas for employees are also part of the project.
Construction Scheduled to Begin in March 2027
Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2027. Following an approximately 20-month construction period, the Medipa Eco Campus is planned to become operational by the end of 2028.
A New Logistics Center for Europe
Once operational, the new site is expected to create around 250 jobs and provide a daily shipping capacity of up to 100,000 rugs.
The new logistics center is also designed to enable deliveries across Europe within 24 hours.
